Sant Cugat Amb el Poble Saharaui hosts Saharawi children in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona) while they receive medical treatment unavailable in the refugee camps in Algeria. The distance from their families and the cultural differences make this an emotionally demanding journey.

After five weeks working with the children, we designed a game that uses urban furniture as a playing field — creating physical interactions between the children and the city around their shelter. A way of making an unfamiliar environment feel appropriable.

The game also becomes an installation, making the association and the children's presence visible to the wider city.
